The information literacy requirement (IDS 102) is designed to help first-semester students increase their knowledge, skills and comfort level in locating, evaluating and using information for academic research. IDS 102 is an online, non-credit course graded pass/fail. You must pass this course to graduate, but you should complete the course as soon as possible because it builds the information skills and knowledge that many classes require. The course consists of several modules, and after each module there is a graded quiz about the material in the module. You will access the course through Canvas.
This course is reflected in your Academic Requirements Report and mandated for all incoming students in their first semester. If you are a new transfer student you may see IDS102 section 80 pre-registered on your course list. If you are a new first-year student you may see IDS102 section 02 pre-registered on your course list.
